Dear friends and Family,
Words are not enough to tell you all that I experienced in Houston this week.
I left on Sunday afternoon to go and be a part of the relief effort going on in Houston. As I arrived, I asked God to show me how I could be of the greatness usefulness for the 3 days I would be there. There is so much to do.
My giftedness is connecting people to the need. I want to say thank you to everyone who supported to this effort by donating financial resources through our website, uniquestudent.org/donate You can still do so, since this will be an ongoing ministry for the coming months. FEMA and insurance companies have so much red-tape to go through that the waiting can be overwhelming. over 75% of the affected families did not have flood insurance so no one really knows what kind of $ will be coming in. It isn’t that they didn’t want it, they can’t get it.
I had the privilege to help gut a house in the flooded area. There are so many houses that have been ruined. It begins with 1 person helping 1 family, from there it grows to a group of people helping many families. So, don’t ever think you can’t make a difference because you can. You are part of the solution and the reason God has you where you are.
May the Lord be with you as you serve Him today. You matter to His work here on earth. This is our practice field until we get into the real game, which is an eternity with Him and with His people!
Stay in the Light, 1 John 1:7,
Pastor Larry
God bless you all. Thank you for your willingness to serve.
It takes many people to be willing to go and to give. Thank you for always being generous.
