VBS began last evening with a huge bang. We had 104 children and around 60 workers to start of our 5 night VBS! We had basketball players, soccer players, baseball players, archery shooters, and of course cheerleaders. God blessed us with overcast skies. We sang some songs, prayed, ate a snack, and had a good ole’ time.
Is Jesus ok with having fun at church? When you think of church, it usually doesn’t remind us of fun. I want to say that Jesus wants church to meet all of our needs. If having a week of fun and telling children about Jesus helps to unite and bring others to church, then He is for it. I witnessed students helping the adult workers to minister in Jesus’ name to the children of our community. What a blessing to be allowed to see God at work. We will be baptizing at least 4 children during our VBS week, maybe more. I am excited to see what God has in store for tonight as we continue our VBS!
