Today I dedicate this post to Bill Prichard, who went home to be with Jesus this morning at 6:30 am.
I had the privilege of knowing Bill for 10 plus years as both a church member and a dear friend. Bill was the one of those rare people who always brought the Lord into the picture it seemed of most conversations. As I got to know more about him when he would come in each week for years to sign checks for the church, I realized how this giant man was so gentle and humble. I enjoyed our conversations and of course I loved him and his wife Nancy.
Bill was a man who was deeply concerned about his family, his church, and his country. He was committed to his family and it was evident by the way he loved his wife Nancy. What a cherished relationship he had for his bride of many years. Bill was so encouraging and loved the Lord with all his heart, mind, soul, and strength. He love Lakeshore Drive Baptist Church. Bill and Nancy were always there; Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings, Wednesday evenings, and for any other church function it seemed.
One thing I learned through the multiple surgeries that Bill went through is that he never gave up. He would tell me that he was ready to go home to Jesus but if he were allowed to stay he would still serve Him! Bill fought the good fight, he ran the race, and he walked the walk. He has heard those infamous words “Well Done Good and Faithful Servant.”
Bill, we will miss you so much here on earth, but it brings us so much comfort knowing that you are there waiting for us to crossover to the other side! So many of us loved Bill and he loved us right back. Good bye my friend.
